Workshop # 72 - Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar.

I think i forgot to show you guys this pagoda that I visited last year in Nov. Just remember when I run through the pictures in my picture folder in the pc... These Shwedagon Pagoda is quite famous here in Yangon. It is located in the centre of Yangon, Myanmar and also a tourist spot for foreigners like us. Not only that, locals came here to pray too... so you can imagine the number of people visiting these place daily... so here you go.. enjoy...

Cost me USD 5 to get in.. imagine how much revenue the make with the number of tourist coming. Local get in for Free..

I think those are volunteer workers helping to keep the place clean. Bear in mind.. we are all bare footed when coming in.

The very top of the main pagoda is tipped with a 76 carat (15 g) diamond. Don't think of reaching it.. too high.

The crown is tipped with 5,448 diamonds and 2,317 rubies. and beside that, the whole pagoda is covered with gold plate.. and this is why it is so special.

Workshop # 71 - Vacation in Taiwan ( Part 5 )

Last part of my vacation... from Hua Lian, we took a train ride back to Taipei again. This time we took a normal one la cause there is no bullet train from Hua Lian to Taipei. O yes, we gave the rented car by to the agent in Hua Lian. You know what's good about the rental, we took the car in Tai Chung and we return it in Hua Lian, actually the car rental company is quite big in Taiwan, they have quite a number of offices over the island. So that's why we can get this service. Next time if you want to drive in Taiwan, let me know, I will let you know the name of the car rental company okie. So in Taipei, stay there for another 2 nights.. we went to their famous night market- Shi Lin and following day..up to this place called 九份( Jioufen - Nine portions in Chinese)

Following day.. went up to 九份 ( Jioufen - nine portions in Chinese).. was there 3 years ago when I first visit Taiwan.. and now a return because there is something that I miss a lot.... hehe.. only my wife and my brother in law knows what I miss.

Workshop # 70 - Vacation in Taiwan ( Part 4 )

Are you still with me dude... so okie..continue from where I stop yesterday... journey from Vienna cottage up to He Huan Mountain and down straight to a township called Hua Lian ( another nice place that we spend 2 nights there). Spend 2 nights @ Hua Lian ( now still missing the place). So oklah.. now you can slowly scroll down and enjoy some of the photos I took and share..

Workshop # 69 - Vacation in Taiwan ( Part 3 )

Hey we go again.... will cut short everything okie.So from where I stop on my last workshop... which is Sun Moon Lake, we drive up onto a place called Qing Jing Nong Chang ( spend one night there ) and travel again on the following day.............( go ahead..see picture first..)

Did you notice what logo is on the signboard? Yes.. it's Starbuck.. Can you believe I can get a Hot Starbuck latte here in the middle of the mountain.. haha.. seriously, it is real starbuck and that is what I need at that moment.

Workshop # 68 - Vacation in Taiwan (Part 2 )

So here you.. Day 2 of my trip... woke up a bit early and went across to get some coffee in our one of many 7-eleven shops. Took a few pictures of the "inn" or "motel" that we are staying...:). Then later we took a bullet train to Tai Chung and arriving in Tai Chung, got our rented car... straight away we drove up to a place called Sun Moon Lake.. spend a night there.. Love that places and serve a good memory for all of us because that is where we got hit by an earthquake @ 2100hrs. Ritcher scale reported to be 4-5. I tell u dude.. it is scary ma..... Ok now.. please drive with me on the photo session okie..

Workshop # 67 - Vacation in Taiwan ( Part 1 )

Just to throw out some good stuffs about my last vacation in Taiwan with my wife and her family. It is a vacation coordinated by her youngest brother- Wawa. A very well planned vacation and I can tell you, I enjoy it very much, if fact we all enjoy it so much. A job well done to him for making this wonderful holiday. We spent about 8 days in Taiwan exploring their main city- Taipei, then head down to Tai Chung, got a van and drive across the mountain to another place called Hua Lian before catching another train back to Taipei. So I am going to show you guys some of the pictures I took during the trip because the more I talk, I am afraid you as a reader get bored...:):).

Day 1- Arriving in Taipei, staying in ShiMenTing (西门町) area...

So now that is all for day 1.. after a walkabout taking our dinner and some window shopping, head back to our hotel and rest...

Workshop # 66 - Happy New Year 2010

Hello Forks...

Would like to just wish everyone who do pop in and out of my workshop a Very Happy New Year 2010.

I need you to know that I am going to shout out about my latest holiday vacation in Taiwan on my next topic.. so make sure you keep me in the track okie.

Looking back in 2009, I do not see much that I have done in Blogging.. maybe because of 2 reason la.. 1. Work and 2. Family- with 2 kids growing up in the same time... you will get to know how busy is that going to be.. and if not believe.. Try it..hehe.

So in 2010.. I think nothing much will change.. just want to set a Simple goal for myself and one of it will be losing weight if possible.

oklah.. too early for all these craps and do catch up with me on my next topic okie.. You will see a lot of pictures.. took about 1000++ photos and not sure if can upload all or not. hehehe..

The operation is due in December and once again she needs to raise funds for it. The cost of the surgery is RM176,184.02 .She has already raised RM173,581.13 of this but obviously she still need supports to get to her needs.She's hoping to raise the rest by republishing her book I'm Not Sick, Just A Little Bit Unwell in English and Chinese.The books are now available in Malaysian bookshops and from her website store. Workshop # 64 - Vacation

Hi everyone...did I say I will come back and chap more about my vacation on my last posting? Yes I am here now.:):) and sorry that for those waiting, you have to wait for 1 month.. and the compensation pay out will be next round of kopi O will be on my account okie. :):)

Here you go, actually i brought my parent, wife and my 2 junior bosses to one of the city in our neighbouring state... Kota Kinabalu. For those of you who doesn't know where is KK.. please stay with me here and let me finish my story before you pop off to google and find out.

We went there sometimes on the end of August and to me, one word to describe the whole holiday- Wonderful, and if I have to say something else... it will be arrrrr "Love it".

Here are some of the pictures that was taken during the trip to Mount KK, spend one night there just want to catch the view of the peak on the next morning and also want to get a feel of staying up in the mountain. Did not get to climb and don't think I can make it to the top as well..hehe. For everyone's info.. if you want to enjoy the best view of the mountain in the morning, make sure you get yourself a room way ahead in advance in this Pine Resort hotel... because a lot of tourists are staying here.

On the next morning.. we drove up to the Desa Cattle Farm at Kundasang area. If you have heard of Desa Milk where you can get them in some of the grocery store back home, then that is the products from this cattle farm. Unfortunately, we did not get to see how the cows get to be milked. According to the workers, the happening time is around 3pm. So if anyone of you are heading there in future, go in the afternoon to see how those cows get into action and I suppose it will be a nice experience.

Seriously, KK is actually a nice place. If you like to go and take a swim in the sea, you get nice beautiful sea, if you like mountain and hiking, can always drive up to Mount KK. If you want shopping, they have the Largest Shopping Mall in the East Malaysia with 4 hotels positioned side by side to each others.. and we are actually staying in one of them.

Can wait to return for more seafood.....:):)

Workshop # 63 - Bintulu Training

Some might think why I am so busy lately.. some even think my business is growing.. in fact I am not doing any business la..I am not good in dealing with business yet...so on the past months, I spend times for some training or schooling.

Spend a month in Bintulu to learn and understand on the ACT and regulation of our lovely country on Occupational Safety and Health. And it is not finish yet.. I still have to sit for the exam and get myself registered. So this is still an ongoing process la.

So what do I do when I was there beside studying, eat, shop and sleep. I brought my bicycle there, trying to do some exercise if possible so that I could catch up with my stamina and strength and be able to chase the butt of Miri cyclist...hehehe.

To cut the crap down, I met a bunch of Bintulu Mountain bike cyclist and spend most of my time chatting and relaxing with them...hehe. And for those who wants to know them more, here is their so called unofficial website but to me, it is good enough for the initiative of the creator of the site...Bravo to him.

Oppss.. by the way, I am staying in this new hotel called.. New World Suite Hotel. Nice hotel and just located next to the shopping mall. It is actually recommended to those who are visiting Bintulu.

Workshop # 59 - New Bicycle

Last month during my field break, i had ventured into cycling. I had a mountain bike for years and after one ride, I have to go get myself something which can actually support me if I wanted to continue. To cut short the whole story, I went down Wong Motor and get myself a new mountain bike... and did try to go offroad with my buddy.

Also.. did a night ride with another buddy..ahkong ( Super Pro) and enjoy it very much because night time is abit cooler comparing to day time.. u know la in Malaysia.. Panas betul.

So I do hope I will stick and continue to ride whenever I go back on my time off as I am enjoying it very much for now.

Workshop # 58 - Before and Now

Wow.. it has being a while oledi la I did not update my blog. A lot of things to say but very little time to put them in. Here is one to go... I guess ppl who is reading my blog knows that I am working on restoring a Classic car now. Being giving her 2 times paint jobs as the first time, I do not like the color. Its too bright la.. and on the second.. color was choosen by my wife, I think it looks more classic and we will keep this as for now.

My Poor Moggie... after being sitting in West Malaysia for a good few months, now back to Miri.. still sit in one of my friend workshop to do internal repair... Very tired oledi la me waiting for her to came out.. Hopefully she will be fully fit in the next few weeks...

And the theme for that night with be "Go Hawaii" and is that mean everyone will need to dress up with coconut leave.. I guess so..hehehe.

Workshop # 45- 1 Year Old now

Damn....Only 1 post in the whole month of Sept. I am far too busy to update my blog here… Busy at work… Busy at home. My current job required me to travel a lot and don’t really have the time for me to sit down and pencil down my story. When I am at home, too busy taking care of the two bosses and now.

Today....I know what is it likes to be a father.:):)

Today, they are 13 months old. I had experienced a lot and learned a lot from the past 13 months, from the time they are born till today and I know there is still a long way to go and tons of learning for me, it’s ok and that is for sure. I just love it because that's a circle of life.

In the same time, I want to thanks my lovely wife for helping to take care of the kids when I am away from home, working to make some bucks for living…

Also to my parents and others family members for doing the parts.

Workshop # 44 - My Morris

Hey dude... finally.. I got this baby back in Miri now after a few months sitting in KL and a few days stuck in Kuching... Yes.. its my old dream Morris Minor 1000 that I had being dreaming to have one for the past few months. My plan now is to try to restore it as its see fit.

So friends... I will give u another update once she has done her make up and post in more pictures to share... so bear with me for now... Enjoy and remember to give way to her if you see her on the road because she can hardly make it up to 70km/hr..hahaha.

Hey... just came back from Bintulu and have the opportunity to stop by for the Borneo International Kite Festival and watch some of the giant kites flying in the sky. Unfortunately.. can't stay for long as the weather is turning cloudy and have to make our way back home.....and took some photos to share... hehe....

The guys is actually using his body to hold a string of kites....

The width of the bird is 15m and length is 17m.. its flew all the way from NZ....and took 3 guys to control it..

Workshop # 42 - New Gadget

Hey... grab this on the way back this time in KLIA...and now.... I need to spend sometimes learning how to use this stuff and I believe there will be a lot of sifu in mcnet will be able to guide me later......

To be honest, I was thinking which one to buy at first, it was between the new Sony a350 and this Canon D450. Then later got some advises from one of the sifu in Mcnet, telling me if I go for Sony, the choices of lenses will be limited and Canon will have more choices and many more reason why I should get a Canon compare to the rest. So when I see both in KLIA, get a feel on both of it.. and the end, I ends up taking this Canon. Hopefully I make the right choice.

That's it and now busy playing with my new toy....hehe.. chao...

Workshop # 38 - Milestone

Finally, my visitor counters hit 3000 today. I know 3000 is not a big number comparing to some of my friends who had already hit 10000, 20000, 30000 visitors. At least it is like a Plastic token rewarded to me that shows people are visiting my workshop. I had to admit ( sometimes ).. I blog about craps but hey.. I do put in some efforts right and there are millions out there who do not even know how to do it. So again.. Bravo to myself.. I did it.

So I like to take this moment.. to Thanks for those who always came in and out to visit my workshop and I promise you will be rewarded with a stick of satay when we meet up. Do put out a list and send it to me okie..haha.

Workshop # 37 - The Socializing Director

Yes.. tat is me... I am consider the Socializing Director based on the result of the Personality test that we use within the company that I am working at now. Another word, we called it Color Test and basically the process is help us to understand each others and identify their style so that you can treat them the way they want and need to be treated in order to achieve the company expectation and goals. So do take a look at mine and make sure u make sure you know how to treat me next time ok and as for me, of course I will ask you to treat me the way I want to be treated and not the way I need to..hehehe.

1.I am propelled by a desire for control and independence. So while I see people as a primary means of achieving dominance, I am also wary of those who take advantage of me or beat me to a goal.

2.I may find myself surrounded by followers who are attracted to my charisma. And while I like that I like the results even more. Keen to get projects started, sometimes I find it a challenge to see them through.

3. My tendencies possibly include:

Being tenacious

Standing up for myself

Seeking to get things done

Expressing confidence in my ability to achieve and make things happen

Downplaying my mistakes and weaknesses while focusing on successes and strengths

Cutting corners to reach my goals more quickly and efficiently

Becoming forceful and less team oriented under pressure

My growth opportunities:

With tasks: I am often impatient when dealing with complex situations or long term projects. When pressured I have a tendency to force fit solutions. I can benefit by learning to pay attention to available information as well as people’s feelings.

Workshop # 36- Believe It or Not

Got the following tips from a sister through email... and link back to my previous posting regarding Beer is now cheaper than Gas, here is some tips for you guys while filling up in the petrol station to get your money worth for every litre you pay for. Believe it or not.. its up to you.

ONLY BUY OR FILL UP YOUR CAR OR BIKKIE IN THE EARLY MORNING WHEN THE GROUND TEMPERATURE IS STILL COLD. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground, the denser the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening.... your litre is not exactly a litre.

In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products play an important role. A 1degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

WHEN YOU'RE FILLING UP, DO NOT SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER OF THE NOZZLE TO A FAST MODE. If you look, you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode, you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapours that are created, while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapour return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapour. Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS IS TO FILL UP WHEN YOUR TANK IS HALF FULL. The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank, the less air occupying its empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.

Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated, so that every litre is actually the exact amount.

ANOTHER REMINDER, IF THERE IS A FUEL TRUCK PUMPING INTO THE STORAGE TANKS, WHEN YOU STOP TO BUY, DO NOT FILL UP - most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

Hope, this will help you get the maximum value for your money.

Hellloooo...Smokers... You got to have a look at this.. I went out to one of the shopping mall yesterday to get some stuffs and found this new Marlboro Kretek selling at the counter. So got myself a pack of this to try it out... I forgot the selling price, I think cost for a pack is somewhere like 8000 Indonesia Rupiah which is just below RM3. The taste of it, no different to others clove cigarettes...just that you are holding a joint of well known Marlboro and not the famous Gudang Garam.

Marlboro Lovers... I bet you will not want to miss out this new product la..kekeke...

Wow..wow..wow.. even our Previous PM now kicking off with his own blog....I was a bit suprise but luckily I am ahead of him be in the blogging world la. To me, I am always behide him.. doesn't matter what others say about him because personally I think he had did a lot to the country and the people of Malaysia. Now that he is retired, he still voice his concerns and apa lagi now.. he blog his concerns... what else do you expect from him.

This is really pissing me off a bit .. got this test from Coolman who post it in Mcnet.. I try to spot the man in the coffee beans.. but fail to spot him.. any idea where is it.. here is the description for the result in terms of how good you are..

This is bizarre -- after you find the guy -- it's so obvious. Once you find him -- it's embarrassing, and you think, Why didn't I see him immediately?Doctors have concluded that if you find the man in the coffee beans in 3 seconds, the right half of your brain is better developed than most people. Workshop # 22 - Trip to Jakarta 2

So second part of my Jakarta trip is about the hotel I get sleep and rest la. I was booked in one of the hotel call Kristal Hotel which is about 5-10 minutes drive from our office. Overall.. not bad the hotel.. food is nice, except they upgrade me to an apartment type 3 bedrooms suite. Terrible experience for me because one man staying in a 3 bedrooms apartment suite ( a bit scary la... ) which I only need one room.

However.. later after 15 minutes check into that room, I request for a change to one bedroom suite.. which I did not manage to took any pictures because the battery on my camera runs out..

The last time I could recall I step my foot off the Soekarno Hatta airport was about 4-5 years ago. So last week.. I had the opportunity to get in there again for a business trip la.. not there for holiday actually.. too bad. So as usual.. one thing I see no changes comparing to my last visit... Traffic Jam. Traffic Jam in Jakarta is still a major problem for them.. its took me about 90 minutes to get from the Airport to the office.. what a ride. Oppsss.. for those who doesn't know what is Char Kway Teow means, here you go.... click here to find out. So basically this time, i like to sing about where is the best Char Kway Teow that I always go for when I back in Miri.. for those who had not being there.. take a pen and write it down now.. It is in Yakin Cafe @ Krokop area behide Pei Min Middle School.. if still don't know where is it.. No problem.. open your mouth and ask the people in Miri.. because a lot of people will know this cafe.. hehe.... Took a few pictures with my new bought Digital camera..Olympus FE-320..its quite handy to bring around actually cause its slim and light...

After a bad Sunday lunch in the new open restaurant in town - Mr. Ho Fine Food Restaurant... I had decided to give it a second try before I make a decision of whether to go back again or not in future....

Just cut short the story.. Sunday experience over there is bad...way below my expectation for a restaurant like that.. so on Tuesday, i told my wife, we will go and try them out again.. for a second time which turns out to be Fully Acceptable...so I would guess that on Sunday, they do not have enuf manpower to cater for all the demands la..

Here u go.. this is what we have on Tuesday and out of all, the best one is the Mussel.. and it is worth to have it.. RM15.90 for 8 NZ imported Mussels.. wow.. where to find.. and guys.. try this out if its happen that you are there..

Pork Chop and Bratwurst..served with mashed potato & seasonal vege..

Mr. Ho's Signature Mussels in Chilli Cream Sauce..Recommended to try out by Smallee.

Mr. Ho's Signature Curry Laksa.. Personally I do not like it.. a bit sweet taste

So after finishing all the food above.. my stomach cannot stuff in more but this is what i had miss out for 2 times oledi.. so next round, I will make myself to try out this Dessert call Poached Pear in Red Wine... must be very good ya.. Anyone tried this.. please comment and let me know before i stuff it into my system...

One of my favorite type of burger.. The Cheese burger.. but today I got a forwarded email from my friend that this burger is actually pack in can and it is made by Trekking Mahlzeiten . How can it be.. so i check out the website and seriously.. it is in the German market that they really get this in a sealed can.

Hey check it out.....the cost of one is € 3,95 which will ends up somewhere around RM19-20. What the hack.... I think it is quite costing as for normal comsumption but if we are in the survival mode, then this should be the right stuff to be keep in your backpack..

Workshop # 14 - Maggi Ayam to Curry

Hmm.. I had just tendered my resignation with my current company last week. There is always this "WHY" question popping up when one is resigning from a company. As for me.... it is not an easy call because I had work with the same company for 12-13 years from a small potato ( trainee back in 96 ) to where I am right now. ( maybe it is just pure luck like one of my friends always said in our own community forum ).

Alright.. main reason that I move and change my rice pot:

1. Of course everyone will put this on the top of their list - The package

2. I want to explode to new challenges,to see and experience how other companies Safety Management System is like comparing to my current company and in the same time, gain more knowledges from poutside world. Not to kept myself in the small box and try to make a different in what I believe to others if I could.

My current company's had a very strong Safety management system that I have to admit and we believe people always come first, we gave on job training to young lads who had just graduated from their school... and hopefully they can get to a supervisory level within 3-4 years time- A future for them.. and a lot of opportunities for others to move up ( doesn't matter what color your skin is ). By saying that, I am one good example to be lead...*Thank you*. (Moving my way up from a small tiny potato to what i am now with a bit of pure luck again..:):))

As I am not sure what the new company has got, so I cannot sing out too much.. but I believe it will not be much different comparing to ours ..after all.. HSE is all the same everywhere and it is just how it is pencil down on their HSE bible and how individual take it in.. True or not... Policies and Procedures are there to help us from getting hurts and to ensure we go home the way we come to work.. and on top of that.. for those who are not into HSE..let me tell u...most of the P&Ps are written in blood.. somewhere, someplace, sometimes ago. shit happen and lesson learned and pass it on to prevent the same shit from happening again.. look at Piper Alpha.. a lot of root causes that make this happen.. (e.g- Permit to work, evacuation Plan.. etc ) and nowaday.. a lot of people still remember what happen with them and how it happen.

So oklah.. time for me to take a break.. and continue to pack my stuff as I am heading home soon..

For those who works with me in the same company now.. and reading this blog... It is a pleasure to work with all of you ( Good time or bad times we spent together) and I am sure the world is not too big and we will get to meet up soon and again...and...

Workshop # 13 - Changing Position

Not me that is changing position la.. I really do hope I get a chance to change my position but unfortunately the luck didn't hit me yet.. so what to do...

Last week.. took a journey onboard a swamp barge moving from one point to another point.. that normally for those who works in the O & G industry, we call it Rig Moving. So was thinking this is my last trip to be here.. why not just grab that MM digital camera and snap some shots and keep some memories again. Here you go.. a 24 hours move...internet line is down.. what do we do onboard.. on daylight.. try to hang on to the handrail on the side of the rig to see what we could see along the riverbank.. when night comes.. no choice.. either watching movies or playing PS2 in the Recreation room...that all we could do when we lose the phone line connection..some might think it's boring.. but I already get use to it now.. so nothing to be bored off.. hey.. life is short, so why think negatively.. right?

Take a look and I try to voice down a bit so you could enjoy yourself with a few shots that comes with a complimentary descriptions on them.

This is not A Manchester United Love boat la.. it is an Environmental Mobile Vessel to handle oil spill, etc.

Workshop # 12 - Counting Days

I love to see sunset on almost every evening when I am here working.. Do you know why? It is an indication of another day is gone.. and I still have less one day here.. somethings the sunset is so nice that I cannot resist to take a few shots to freeze that moment and to refresh my memories when I feel like having a bad day that It is going to be a nice sunset today..... so cheer up...

I miss them very much.. and I can't wait to see them.. if can...i wish I could bring them to my workplace la.. so I can play with them everyday after work.. too bad I can't do tat..and that's life.. and I knowwwwww....

Anyway.. no problem.. daddy is coming back soon.....hehe...

Hey.. got myself a new desktop for work.. after 2 years of using the old Pentium 4.. finally I got anew one to replace the old junk shit...

Gear up with a 19" Dell Monitor, a HP Photosmart C3180 and An Altec Lansing VS 2321 Speaker set.... What else can I expect for more....A Perfect Match to me...and a Matryoshka doll on the side of the C3180....haha..

Workshop # 8 - My Dream Morris

Hey.. some of you might had heard of this classic baby... The Morris Minor.. as for me.. I had dream of owning one for so long already and I am still looking for one..hopefully I won't need to wait too long before I can have a ride on it around and around.... u ask me how long that I fall in love with the moggies.. wow.. very long la.. the first time I saw one belongs to one of my best buddy( Adrian ) at his place in Miri and now he kept his baby in Sibu. I did try to convince him to sell his to me.. but he just not want to let her baby off...and I have to continue digging for one..

Workshop # 7- IS350

Helloooo... I m back after a while now.. before i start singing about the monster that I had the opportunity to sit in and ride on it.. I want to clarify one thing. I am not Paultan who is selling his word for cars which u may find in his blog. I just promising my buddy- the owner that I will sing his car on my blog..

IS350- one of the most powerful car that I had ever jump on in my life(as for now after the 350z) to have a ride around the city and let me tell u, this is a monster. A 3.5 litres V6 with approximately 300hp on the wheel scoring 4.54sec from 0-100km/hr ( shown in Youtube )and you tell me.. what else you may need from this machine.

Tat 3.5 liters V6 Engine hmmm...

And then ask the owner to shown me the use of the Paddle shifter on the steering wheel so we could test the car in more sporty mode. Guess wat.. we try out on a short distance ( Grand Palace hotel till the junction to Inland Revenue board office in Miri, if u could picture it yourself )... the speedometer hit 170km on 3rd gear. ( What the hack ) and my eyes just got stuck on the it.....

Interior design.. focused on the paddle shifter on the steering wheel plss..

Push start button add another few thousand bucks on this machine..hehe

So that's all about it.. and I m telling you.. that was the best experience that I had on this new Baby Lexus ( that's what a lot of Rich Bruneian say about this model but not for me..hehe )..and for those could fork out RM350k.. u might want to consider this machine for your next collection...and special thanks to my buddy- Jerry for taking me for a wonderful ride that afternoon..

Workshop # 6- Journey Back Home Part #2

Alright.. after we hop up to our Mitsubishi Evo Colt.. straight down to a hotel to drop off my expat colleague ( becoz he is flying off @ 1700hrs ) and me heading down to the Balikpapan International Airport... on my way heading down to the airport.. took a few pictures of the specialities of the local transport in balikpapan..

After a while..we had finally make it to the airport.. entrance...haha..and again.. took a few shots while getting through the autogate.. and few shots when I am inside the check in lounge, checking in counter to Jakarta on Garuda airlines and then proceed with the Airport tax which is RM30000 ( oppss.. mistake it's Indonesia Rupiah )... Once.. airport tax payment was done.. me head through another scanning machine and to the boarding room.. it is pack full as usual.. and me and another Indo colleague head straight down to the Garuda Executive lounge and have some local delight....

Then my flight from Balikpapan to Jakarta International Soekarno-Hatta Airport took around 2 hours.. To be honest.. I prefer to fly Silkair from Balikpapan to Singapore but unfortunately if I took that flight, I will have to stay overnight somewhere in Singapore or KL..which will be second option for me. I prefer to fly back straight home in the same day if I could make it. So ok.. landed in Jakarta.. rush down to Starbuck and have myself a Frappucino Java Chip ( Ice blended Coffee )..passing by the bread shop" RotiBoy" where we could get the same type of bun back home.. suprisingly to me that Rotiboy is there in Jakarta la..hehe..Once I got my Java Chip.. head down to MAS check in counter.. pay my fiscal tax ( which is another million rups) then international airport tax ( another 75000 rups ). Once i get through the immigration, first thing to look for as a smoker... smoking room..hihi.. found one.. got in n pump a few mg og nicotine into my system before heading into the boarding room...

Workshop # 5- Journey Back Home Part #1.

Wow.. this to sing my way back home la.. got up 530am ready to take the first flight off my so-called second home.. hmmm... weather turns out not so good.. so helicopter also delay a bit.. instead of landing @ 745am, they came in @ around 0830am...but that is absolutely no problem for delay as long as I do not need to travel by boat zipzaping through the river ending up a 3 hours boat ride.

So me just stay cool and have a cup of coffee and some nicotine injection while waiting for my taxi to take me off... First stop on another rig nearby call Raisis.. did not manage to took the whole rig.. I was taking a nap in the flight.. when the heli land on this rig before heading to a base call Handil 2..

The moment the heli's rotor stop turning, the door open and we ( all the passengers ) have to rush into the hanger becoz no umbrella provided la.. ( wat a service ).. then our luggages arrived.. took my bag and walk through the alleyway and comes to the main door where our company Super car ( Mitsubihsi ) is waiting for me... kekeke..

Workshop # 3- Rice Bowl

Hey..as i mentioned... this time will sing a bit of work place. Currently.. working in Balikpapan, Indonesia. Being here on and off since end of 2006. Some might think where the hack it is.. here u go.. look at the map below to find out the exact spot…

I think Balikpapan is the second largest city in East kalimantan, Indonesia.

So first time arriving here after so many years stuck offshore, first impression was.. WOW... this is sometime different. WHY? Because we are surrounded by trees and prawn farm whereby offshore you can see nothing but sea, some platforms and if you are lucky enuf.. sometimes.. u will find fishing boats. Just take a look la on the picture below and u will see what i mean... and that big monster there is where i m now.

Then.. more exposure that I could imagine from time to time on my first few months here. Beside normal operation here.. sometimes we will get some unexpected visitors that come and visit us without giving any notice.. and they will not listen to wat u said to them and worst is.. the will try to fight u if you try to make some funny move with them.. so that is a major headache working in a place like tat.

Workshop # 2- Family

Alright.. as I said.. i will try to sing about my wife and the 2 kids from my previous workshop...after telling my wife that i m going to sing abt her.. she request me not to do so.. so guess i will just have to respect her request and just go for my 2 kids...

Kendrick... born on 30 Aug 07.. around 0933hrs. He was weighted around 2.5kg at that time.. and now if i remember the last time he lay on the scale.. it was 8kg la. Lakisha..born on the same day but it was 2 minutes after her brother. She was 0.2 kg lighter than her brother and now somewhere around 1kg less than her brother. U know la..girl is a bit lighter compare to boy.

When u put them both together side by side... they tend to talk to each other.. unfortunately i do not understand a word of what they say..hehe. Just sit back and watch them performing their talk show while i enjoy my cup of coffee.

So guess that is all you need to know about my family.... nothing much.. Will cast in more when other special moment of them pops up in future... Next workshop... might jump and sing a bit of my work place.. and do catch up later alright... Off duty now......

Work.. a bit lucky for me actually ( some might say and feel ) .. I ends up venturing myself in the Oil and Gas industry… being in this industry for almost 12 years now… so not sure when I am going to pull the brake. I know.. I have a choice.. but I guess the time is not here yet for me to make that choice..( If ppl say offshore good money.. i kind of believe it but not for newcomers..u have to be strong to be able to get the money u desire..)

Hmmm… what else…arrrr.. nothing really much for a start.. I guess will throw in more and more when I tot of something. Cool for now.
